The hopper barges we offer at Waterking are ideal for transporting materials over water — such as silt, soil, gravel, granulate, and more.You can choose between split and non-split hopper barges. Both variants are made from premium Grade-A material: Hardox, which makes them significantly more wear-resistant than standard alternatives.
At Watering we use 4 different sizes as the standard:
- 10 m3
- 15 m3
- 20 m3
- 25 m3
These mud barges can be moved using a push boat, tugboat or workboat. This is very easy due to the low dead weight. As a result, they are also easy to transport through narrow waterways or over shallow water. For loading and unloading the mud barges, you can, for example, use a (amphibious) excavator.
The hopper barges are stackable and can be transported by road within Europe without the need for special permits. Two barges can be transported on a single low-loader.
