Sixty coupling pontoons delivered to Sweden

UW-TECH, our long-standing client from Sweden, has added sixty coupled pontoons to its fleet over the past two years.

Strong partnerships are built over time. Not only through successful deliveries, but by
providing equipment that continues to perform long after it leaves the yard. A recent repeat
order from UW-TECH is a great example of how practical solutions, reliable equipment and
good communication can lead to long-term cooperation.

The first set of coupling pontoons

In 2025, UW-TECH selected Waterking for the supply of 18 NATO pontoons, complete with
hydraulic spud pole systems, coupling equipment, certified lifting chains and several custommade
spud poles. Among these were special 12-metre spud poles with a 300 x 300 mm
profile and modified spudpole holders, designed specifically to meet the requirements of their project. The pontoons were delivered in two different colours and configured according to the customer’s operational
needs.

Finally, this delivery included the coupling components and a certified lifting chain. The pontoons were painted in two colours, as requested by UW-TECH. Following delivery, good communication continued to ensure that everything was to the customer’s satisfaction and was put to use correctly.

Expanding the NATO pontoon set

Just one year later, UW-TECH returned to Waterking to further expand their fleet. In 2026, an
additional 42 NATO pontoons were ordered, together with two hydraulic spud pole systems with 12-metre long spudpoles, coupling materials, lifting chains and the associated accessories. By choosing a similar
configuration, UW-TECH was able to seamlessly integrate the new equipment into their
existing fleet and operations.

A great collaboration

Repeat business is one of the strongest indicators of customer satisfaction. When a customer
returns to purchase additional equipment after gaining practical experience with the first
delivery, it demonstrates confidence in both the product and the partnership behind it.

Versatile pontoons

UW-TECH uses the set of NATO pontoons for diving operations. But this isn’t the only thing you can use coupling pontoons for.

The order highlights the versatility of Waterking’s modular pontoon systems. Whether used
as floating work platforms, temporary access solutions or foundations for specialized
equipment, NATO pontoons can be configured for a wide range of applications. Combined
with hydraulic spud pole systems, they provide a stable and flexible solution for projects in
demanding environments.
